"Reveal" Doc is Now With Ubisoft


We did it! We just sent the design document to Ubisoft for our submission into the Game Labs competition. Just the like title, the name of our game is Reveal. Read on to find out some more about it.So, why Reveal? Well, as we were thinking about the development of our game idea and just really the themes were are playing with for the game, we kept on using the world reveal. The game is about discovery, facing an unknown enemy, controlling your environment, and using a light-powered weapon to your advantage. When describing any of these things to other people, most of us just kept on using "reveal" to reference them. That's when most of us looked at each other, realizing that the name of our game was staring us in the face. It also helped us think of the slogan as well, which is, "Master the Light." Again, it references actions committed within the game and the overall feeling we want players to experience.

Now that the document is in, the team is running full steam ahead into production. The design team is going to recuperate for a few days from spilling their blood, sweat, and tears in making this document the best that it can be. Then, it is right back to work in working with Isaac on the feel of the environments and locking down some level design qualities to compliment the experience. 

What's especially cool about this whole thing? Ubisoft is going to be sending some feedback regarding the design document which is amazing in and of itself. 

Seriously, this is pretty awesome.
